3 Things…

Happy Monday, Darlings! I have kind of a run around like a mad woman day ahead so this is going to be super quick. Three things:

1. Forever21: Free Shipping on orders over $21, Code: FREESHIP21

I prefer no minimums on my free shipping but you can still get some a lot of goodies for $21. This deal is until 9/26.

2. Kohl’s:  Free shipping, no minimum, Code: FREE2SHIP

I don’t shop at Kohl’s often but I have a pair of favorite jeans from there a long time ago, so they are worth giving a look. This deal is until 9/25.

3. ABS Vintage: New Vintage and 50% off Summer Sale, Code: ILUVFALL

Part of my run around morning is uploading new vintage to the store. I put up a few pieces already, working on a few more. Take a look!

I have some great goodies from Lipton Publicity in my mailbox so I am going to have a review for you on Wednesday. It’s finally cold enough to really indulge in fall fashion and I am so excited!

Have a great day :-)

Have to have it!

Every so often I find it necessary to put myself on a shopping ration. When you thrift as often as I do, and when you get the perfect excuse to do so (like starting an online store, or buying for an awesome vintage line like 720 Instant Vintage), things can get a little overwhelming. Well after spending last Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday thrifting and flea marketing, I realized a strike was needed. A week later, I have put together this collage of clothes I have been dreaming about. Always need a wish list for when the strike is lifted – have to plan ahead!

Click to buy!

Okay, I may be breaking this strike just to pick up those lace tops from Target. How adorable! Alright loves, I’ve had a crazy morning, sorry for the lunchtime post. ABS VIntage is shipping tomorrow so take a look there too while you’re online buying :-)

Have a perfect weekend,

Fashionably Tardy

Free!

I’ve talked before about how powerless the words “free shipping” leaves me in my attempts to avoid online shopping. You get all the benefits of shopping from your couch, with no extra fees. Well I tweeted a few days ago about the Urban Outfitters three days without shipping deal – and today is the last day! You have until 3am to scoop up some good deals, no shipping fees and no minimum purchase amount. Get to shopping!

And remember that ASOS always has free shipping with no minimum purchase. Breeze by and check out their sale sections.

I am really trying to limit my shopping until I clear out my closets for spring, but I’m not so sure I can make it through this free shipping deal without at least getting some cute jewelry. Let me know what you get!

Have a great Wednesday :-)

Style up and ship out,

After Christmas Sales

After all of the hustle, bustle, great food and time with family we have reached another important day – the day after Christmas. Second to Black Friday, this is a very big shopping day in this country. Stores are having huge door busters and opened way before many of us slept off Christmas dinner. Although my shopping ration has been lifted, I am still trying to keep it minimal with the shopping I do today. I have it in my mind to hit up three of my favorite stores and call it a day (I’ll let you know how that goes). Well below are some of the biggest after Christmas deals I’ve come across. Some are online and in-store so you may not even have to battle the crowds to clean up. Most of these stores have some early bird specials that end from 1pm-3pm, so get up and out (after you finish reading this). On your mark, get set – shop away!

1. Target – up to 65% off online, 1,000s of in store sales

Target is having $20 jeans sales and big clearance on intimates for women and undershirts and underwear for men. Great time to scoop up the things Santa may not have taken care of.

2. Kohl’s – 60-70% off

This one is both online and in store. Also check your Sunday paper for a coupon that gives an extra 20% off of orders over $100 and 15% off of any order. Okay, since I love you I’ll just give you the promo codes from my paper: 20% off: RINGIN2012, 15% off: NYESTYLE. Use these at checkout when shopping online. Think some of this sale lasts until Wednesday.

3. Macy’s – 20% off + free online shipping

Text CPN to MACYS (62297) for an extra 15% off coupon for their 2-day sale. Browse online and in store. They also offer a $10 savings pass to use today or tomorrow before 1pm on purchases over $25

4. Shoe Carnival - 50% off Womens boots

Now I just learned about this store, and after some Google searching learned that I have one not too far from where I live. I haven’t shopped there yet but plan to make a run today. 50% off boots will get me every time. If you have one near you, it seems worth taking a look around

5. J.Crew - 80% off fall merchandise in store, 20% off clearance online

I don’t do a lot of J Crew shopping (price disagreements), but this 80% off fall clothes will yield some good classic finds. You may find me casually browsing a J. Crew today for some cardigans and scarves.

Okay, there are tons more sales going on but these were my favorites. A quick google search for “After Christmas Sales” will give you articles about other options. Keep a tally of what you find and we’ll compare after New Years. I’m traveling for the holidays so my next post will be Jan. 4th…but I’ll have my very vintage Christmas recap for you, some outfit pictures and way more additions to the store in the New Year. Thank you all so much for riding 2011 out with me. Knowing that there are fashion addicts who are just as hooked as me out there has been great. Have an amazing and safe holidays and see you in 2012!

Pretty Pennies

Christmas is very close. I have never been good at shopping months in advance, but I do always manage to get something special for everyone I love just in time – even if that means Christmas Eve. Well this weekend I was thinking about how simple it would be if I did my Christmas shopping mostly online this year. Waited for the goodies to show up at my doorstep and cut out the pushing and shoving. If you are thinking the same thing, make sure you check out these sites before you buy anything.

Online stores have unadvertised discounts all the time. These sites do their best to compile coupons and discount codes that we may not know about from the store. You have heard me talk about Retail Me Not before, well these sites are just like that – but checking more sites could mean finding more deals. Now not every discount code they have is real, but they have some feedback from other’s who have tried it. It’s worth the look if you can save some money before the holidays. Here are the other sites I found:

Couponcabin.com

Couponchief.com

Fatwallet.com

Yourretailhelper.com

Hope that helps with everyone’s holiday shopping – especially for those who wait until there is almost no time like me. Let me know how it goes, and if these sites were helpful.

So did you find any great deals this weekend??—I want to hear all about them!

The season for saving,

Deals and steals

I’m just going to be honest. Not shopping since my Goodwill trip on Black Friday has been kinda rough. I spend a lot of time in thrift stores and hitting up sale racks, but decided to use this Christmas season as a time to reflect, do for others and remember what is important. I have an apartment full of clothes. Every weekend I have been putting more and more in bags to be donated. It feels good, and it has made me realize how much time I spend store hopping. But I miss my thrift stores, a ton – and I think about all of deals I must be missing. Having a style blog doesn’t exactly help me keep my mind off of things, but it gives me an excuse to still browse what’s out there. So here are some weekend sales you may be interested in:

ASOS – 40% off of all party looks

This site is my biggest weakness. Free shipping all the time is like music to my ears. Always check their sale section for some cute finds. The party looks are just for the ladies but the men’s section has some sale finds. Check Retail me not for possible promo codes.

Old Navy – 15% off entire purchase (online only)

I am in need (okay want) of a midi jacket for this winter season. Old Navy has them. I would suggest browsing their outerwear and sale sections from men, women and children. Use the coupon code: ONHOLIDAY

Target – 3 Day Sale (ends Saturday)

This “almost last minute” sale includes clothes, beauty, electronics. There is also free or reduced shipping on select items. They have some good outerwear options too.

Well lovelies, hope you find something great to add to your closests. Think about me while you’re scooping up deals, I’ll be cheering you on from outside of the store (lol dramatic, I know). Have a great weekend!

Staying strong,

Fashionably Tardy

Accidentally on purpose

I stumbled on a site yesterday that seems promising for good deals and great finds. I have been trying to shop less lately for many reasons – the holidays are coming up, I have tons of things I have never even worn yet, and I am just physically running out of space in my apartment for all of my clothes. It’s definitely time to do some cleaning out to make space for a new season. But anyway for those of you who are not rationing your shopping, check out UrbanOG.com. I haven’t bought anything from this site yet (but I do have my eyes on these adorable leopard loafers). They have some super cute stuff for under $20 – I think it’s worth a look around. Oh! and try using the code: DEC17 at check out for 20% off of your entire purchase. Some people on Retail Me Not said that the code didn’t work for them but it’s worth a try – can’t miss out on a discount!

Sorry for the short posts lately – I have been feeling a bit under the weather and work has been super hectic. Hopefully things will be back to normal before too long and I can get back to rambling to you, updating my tumblr, posting more outfit picks and sprucing up the store. Thanks for hanging in there with me – I really appreciate all of you!

Have an amazing Wednesday! – Share any great Cyber Monday deals you picked up please! I need to vicariously shop through you.

Cyber Monday!

I’ve never been one to stand in line for hours or fight me way through crowds on Black Friday. In fact, my Black Friday shopping consisted of a trip to my favorite Goodwill where I found the perfect sheer maxi and some adorable velvet loafers. That was deal enough for me. But I am more than ready to take advantage of Cyber Monday deals from the comfort of my own apartment. Most major online retailers are doing some pretty good specials for this day of virtual insanity. I found some sites that compiled some of the savings for you so you can just be a click away from stocking up for Christmas gifts for your loved ones (or yourself). Some of the places I’ve heard with great deals that I’m excited to shop around are Kohl’s, Target and Amazon.com. Enjoy your Monday, and take some time after work (or during, if you’re bold) to get in on these deals!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break with their families. Did you scoop up any great deals over the weekend? Have any crazy Black Friday stories? — share!

And don’t forget to stop by the Anything but style store this week. I’m doing some clean up tonight and will be dropping some prices for Cyber Monday (may be even Cyber Week because I love you all so much). Don’t miss out on some quality vintage for a great price!

Tis the season,

Weekend super sales

The holiday season is approaching very quickly. And it seems like everyone is already gearing up for the biggest shopping day of the year – Black Friday. Surprisingly, I have never been shopping on Black Friday. I’m typically not looking for big screen tv’s for a good price, and the places I like to shop (mostly thrift stores) aren’t too concerned with holidays sales. I did stumble across some online stores who have started their holiday sales early and wanted to let you all know in case you were in the shopping mood this weekend.

1. Urban Outfitters - 40% off of Outerwear (select styles)

Now I have found perfect cold weather jackets at thrift stores, so I’m not one to take advantage of retail sales like this – but Urban does have some super cute coats on their site. Even with this 40% off nothing is under $20 but I think coats is something that it’s mostly inevitable that you will have to splurge on. This sale is for men and women so everyone take a browse.

2. Kohl’s – Friends & Family Shopping Pass, 20% off of everything

This deal expires 11/20/11. Here is the printable coupon (click here). According to the rules, you can use this in-store and online and can be used multiple times if presented with each purchase. The online coupon code that you use is: NOVFF20. The Kohl’s online site seems to be down right now getting ready for Cyber Monday, but head to a store near you and check things out.

3. J. Crew – additional 30% off of sale items

This deal expires on 11/20/11 as well. With this coupon code (MUSTHAVE) you get an extra 30% off of sale items on J. Crew.com and in-store. Now I have a lot of J.Crew, none of it from the actual J.Crew store-but they have some great classic pieces that may be worth the buy if you can get a good enough deal.

4. Macy’s – Super Saturday Shoe Sale, Buy one, get one 50% off

This deal ends 11/19/11 (yup, that’s tomorrow). I love everything about shoes, so I am very excited about this one. And this sale is on shoes for everyone – Men, Women, Juniors, Children. This might be a great time to find a gift for someone and get yourself a fab shoe for half price. Not sure if this one is applicable for in-store too, but I think Macy’s sales usually go for both so it’s worth taking a look.

So there you have it my beautiful bargain hunters – four places to pinch pennies this weekend. I’m heading to DC for my big birthday weekend. I had to settle for something other than my dream sequins mini dress but I am happy with the 80s floral mini that I decided on instead. I will take tons of pictures and tell you all about it on Monday.

Don’t forget to enter the Easy Canvas Giveaway over the weekend – you have until Sunday at midnight. — Have a great Friday!

In search of: The Birthday Dress

So anyone that knows me (in real life or e-life) has heard about my birthday since the end of October. Another product of my family’s spoiling, my birthday is a major deal to me – and usually made to be a major deal to people around me too. This year feels particularly big for me. Not sure what monumental things happen at age 25, but I feel like this is the beginning of a new adult phase. This is my mid-twenties. This is my time to rent cars without that annoying under 25 fee, and get in to old people bars who don’t want a young crowd. 25 may not look any different from 24, but I am more than ready to celebrate this new year of life and all of the things I’ve learned since last year. My amazing friends in DC are planning and putting up with my bratty requests for the big weekend. I have tried to help, but my loving lover told me today “listen, we got it – you just worry about finding a birthday dress”. I have the best friends – and she clearly knows me so well. So here is my birthday dress wish…

These dresses are in the $200-$300 dollar range. Which anyone who has ever set foot on this site knows that the cheapest of theses dresses is about $180 more than I ever like to pay for something. I am in love with sequins lately. I realize that it’s a bit Las Vegas showgirl. Or a little glittery granny in a casino, but I want it. A long-sleeved sequins mini dress feels perfect for my birthday weekend. Many people have said sequins all over is always over the top. I agree – and that’s exactly what I love about it. You have to be willing to be seen as “a bit much” when you step out in head to toe sequins. I’m ready. I have 12 days until my birthday weekend – not much time to find the perfect dress that fits my miserly price range. But I’m confident I can do it – I’ll keep you posted.

So what do you think about my birthday dress? Any suggestions for alternatives in case I can’t find my dream dress?

Take a look at the “SHOP!” page I added to the bar at the top. This page has the link for the Anything but style store. I have more shoes and tons of clothes to add so always check back (I’ll let you know when I add new stuff). I’ll also add buttons on the sidebar soon so you can just be one click away to the store and Anything but style on tumblr. That vintage picture button on the side will take you to the tumblr now.

Hope everyone had a great weekend – Happy Monday!
